What are you actually getting for the price difference?

Casper earned its place. It helped invent the bed-in-a-box category, it's sold in stores all over the country, and since joining Carpenter Co., the world's largest foam manufacturer, it has real production muscle behind it. The One at $899 is a lot of mattress for the money.

Wright charges more because the build is heavier. The W1.27's comfort layers are 4-pound and 5-pound density foams with specified ILD ratings, the kind of spec sheet you normally see in contract bedding for hotels rather than consumer boxes. Density is the best predictor of how a foam mattress feels in year seven, not year one. Price. The One costs less than half of a W1.27. If your budget is under $1,000 for a queen, Casper is a sensible pick and we won't pretend otherwise.

Availability. You can lie on a Casper today at retail stores across the country. Wright doesn't have showrooms; our beds are tried in partner hotels or through the home trial.

Range. Casper's lineup spans foams, hybrids, and its Max models, with a cooling-focused Snow line. There's a Casper for almost every budget tier.
