What do they feel like?

The W1.27 has the feel people picture when they think of memory foam: you settle in and the mattress shapes itself around your shoulders and hips. It stays medium-firm, so you never feel stuck, but the character is calm and cradling. In our testing it suits about 90% of sleepers, whether you sleep on your back, side, or stomach, and whether you're heavier or lighter.

The W2.15 feels more like a great hotel bed, which makes sense, because it is one. The coils push back a little as you move, so it's easier to change positions or sit on the edge. The W2.15, clearly. Its coil unit has reinforced edge support, so sitting on the side of the bed or sleeping near the edge feels stable. The W1.27 holds its own for an all-foam mattress, but foam edges will always compress more than reinforced coils. What about couples and motion transfer?

This is where the W1.27 wins. All-foam construction absorbs movement, so a partner turning over or getting up early barely registers on your side.
