What is 3Below gel-infused memory foam?

3Below is the memory foam at the surface of both Wright mattresses. On the W1.27, it's a 1.5-inch layer of 4 lb foam. On the W2.15, it's a 1-inch layer that is also copper-infused and carries an active thermaphase cooling surface that works to regulate temperature at the exact spot where your body meets the bed.

How does air actually move through a Wright mattress?

Cool-touch surfaces only help if the heat has somewhere to go. Three design choices keep air moving:

  • Crosshatch ventilation. The foam layers are cut with a crosshatch pattern that creates channels through the core of the mattress, so warm air isn't sealed inside solid foam.
  • Breathable mesh side panels. The sides of the mattress are mesh, not solid fabric, giving the air in those channels an exit every time you move.
  • A quilted top for airflow. The cover is quilted to promote airflow at the surface rather than pressing flat against the foam.

On the W2.15, there's a fourth path: the 8-inch pocket coil base is mostly open space, so the entire bottom two-thirds of the mattress breathes.
